These two are Up to no good!
Sketch time: 2 1/2 hours
Inspiration: Cobras, Dragons, Ram Horns, Raptors, Feathers
Funny this started out as an actual character. I realized after many erase marks that it needed to be an animal so I erased everything but the head.
A few thoughts I've had while drawing this concept:
Vacktuu Land Striders: Taller than the the traditional raptors, standing up to 15 ft. head to toe. Very aggressive predators. Have been known to take down prey 4 times larger. Usually hunt in teams of 2 or three. Land Striders are very well of their surroundings and hard to hunt. Scorpion like tails, equipped with stinger. Frill flails out when threatened. Their horns and feathers bring in high value.

Man, I know I already faved this but have I told you how cool these guy are? XD I totally want one as a pet! And love the design of their heads and the big "headdress" style feathers. It's really sweet
